Unveiled the SNW Europe Conference progamme
August 2007

The organisers of Storage Networking World (SNW) Europe (www.snweurope.com), the region’s largest conference dedicated to data and storage management which will be held from October 29 to 31, 2007 in Frankfurt, published the event programme, which this year will feature the highest number of sessions to date, and will include speakers such as Arsenal FC, Swisscom and British Energy. Running under the theme “Information in Motion”, the conference will offer a unique opportunity to attend presentations about technology developments, how to address business-level challenges and real-world case studies.

Three entire conference tracks will be devoted to EMEA end-users sharing their experiences of deploying storage-related technologies and services to help address their business challenges.

In addition Andy Monshaw, General Manager, Storage Systems, IBM Systems and Technology Group, and Steve Duplessie, founder and senior analyst at the Enterprise Strategy Group will be among the keynote speakers. Among the technical sessions will be presentations on:

· Information classification

· ILM

· Storage management

· XAM

· Archiving and compliance

· Green storage

· Storage security

· Fibre Channel and iSCSI developments

The hot topics tracks will host presentations by well-known names such as TheInfoPro, SAP, Oracle and MessageLabs and subjects will include deduplication and data retention management with ERP. Ex-Gartner analyst Josh Krischer will examine storage requirements, challenges and solutions for SMBs. The agenda also features a series of sessions covering parallel aspects of the IT universe to storage and data management but that have a direct impact on the infrastructure requirements of any organisation such as email management and compliance, and database applications. SNIA Europe’s strategic partners such as BITKOM, SANBoard and training provider qSkills will also host presentations.

At SNW Europe 2007 attendees will be able to:

· Learn about how to address their own storage challenges in the datacentre from vendors, integrators and independent experts such as SNIA and TSAnet;

· Find out about the latest technologies and protocols such as Fibre Channel over Ethernet and XAM and issues such as compliance and security;

· Hear about real-world case studies from end user speakers from across Europe and the Middle East;

· Attend the ever-popular vendor-independent SNIA educational tutorials;

· Meet with over 50 of the leading industry players showcasing new storage and related solutions;

· Test drive the latest technologies in the exclusive SNIA Hands-on Lab;

· Visit the Solutions Showcase to discuss and experience a set of multi-vendor technology demonstrations.

Organised by Angel Business Communications and endorsed by the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) Europe, SNW Europe has repeatedly attracted delegates from all business sectors including financial, government and retail. The success of the conference is reflected in the level of interest from delegates, sponsors as well as media and analysts. In 2006 over 1,400 people walked through the conference doors over the three days, including 70 journalists and analysts from 13 countries. To date over 40 sponsors have confirmed their presence at the event and the organisers are expecting this number to rise above 50.
